All About RANA ALAMASSI

Rana Almassi, an artist based in the United Arab Emirates, has been refining her skills in mixed media art over the past few years. Originally focusing on oil painting, Rana Almassi combined her expertise in crafting and resin work with her 15 years of painting experience, resulting in a perfect fusion of her two passions.

By delving into mixed media and sculpting, Rana embarked on a journey that allowed her to incorporate an additional element into this creative union, expanding the horizons of her talent even further. Through the use of various materials on canvas, she pushes the boundaries of traditional art, employing weightlessness to convey narratives that explore the depths of movement and composition.

In her artwork, Rana employs materials such as cement, stones, modeling paste, resin, and papers, all in harmonious shades that establish a connection with the viewer. Her artistic layers draw inspiration from diverse influences, encompassing cultural aspects as well as the physicality of Abstract Expressionism.

In 2019, Rana worked as a part-time art teacher, sharing her knowledge and passion with others. In 2020, she organized online art courses, further engaging with the artistic community. In 2022, she participated in three exhibitions, showcasing her artwork to a wider audience. Most recently, in 2023, Rana successfully obtained a certificate in Art Therapy, expanding her understanding of the therapeutic potential of art.
